Frequently asked questions
Is walk-on registration allowed?
Yes, of course, you may register for the workshop on the first day! You will need to work with Housing to be certain they have space or find your own accommodations.
What happens if I can't make the registration hours?
You will need to meet at the recreation center on the main campus at 7pm on Sunday OR come to our office hours in the Poly Canyon Dorms (office hours are generally 7-8am and 5-6pm).
What should I bring?
Are CEUs (Continuing Education Units) available?
You may earn up to 4 CEUs (NOT college units) or 40 clock hours. We offer 2-4 CEUs per workshop. You are responsible for registering for the units online and payment to Cal Poly will be due at that time as well. You will bring your CEU card to each session and it will be stamped. At the end of the week , you will submit you card for CEUs.
Is this workshop appropriate for classroom teachers?
This is a K-8 physical education workshop and it is appropriate for ANY teacher, classroom and physical education specialists alike.
What if I am injured? Is this workshop still appropriate?
Full participation in the workshop sessions is strongly encouraged; however, it is not a problem to attend as an observer!
Do I need to come for the full week?
We currently offer both a three day (Sunday-Tuesday afternooon) and six day (Sunday-Friday) registration.
