WHY COME TO EPEW?

EPEW is for Elementary and Middle School Physical Educators, APE, classroom teachers and administrators.

Q: What are the dates of the workshop?
For 2024, EPEW will be held from July 15 to July 19, tentatively. We also hold a virtual EPEW on Saturday, July 13, 2024. See VIRTUAL Section below for more info. Fees for VIRTUAL EPEW will be on the VIRTUAL Registration Form.

Q: Can I get professional credit from this workshop?
Yes. You will be able to sign up for 1, 2 or 3 CEUs for 2024. CPP charges $60 per unit. To sign up for 3 units, you must select both the 1 unit and 2 unit options.

Q: Why participate in the Workshop?
The workshop is a great learning and networking experience: learn from top-level presenters and meet lots of great teachers, all to provide quality physical education to students. You will learn successful instructional, management and assessment techniques as well as standards-based activities to bring back to your students. Each full day consists of an optional morning workout, breakout sessions, a general session/keynote, share times and evening socials. Fun, fun, fun!

Participation in the workshop sessions is strongly encouraged; however, it is not a problem to attend as an observer!

Private room, shared bathroom, shared common room, shared kitchen, linens (pillow, sheets, blanket, towel, hand towel, wash cloth) for
4 nights (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur). Linens are not exchangeable.

We will be staying in suites-style dorms. Lot Q is general, long term parking. Lot K is near iPoly and is $8 per day. At Check-In, EPEW will provide a map and parking information.

Q: How will you know what is happening when?
We will be providing a schedule to all attendees. We will also be using the app Remind to advise of upcoming sessions and any changes as well as the Glide app. Information for these apps will be provided at check-in.

Breakfast will be served at the dining commons this year and is from 6:30 am to 8:00 am. Lunch will be at 12:30-1:30pm. With the exception of the All-Conference Dinner, dinner is on your own.

Yes. The BRIC (Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex) will be available for attendees. For only $3/day, attendees
can go to the BRIC, reference the name of the event (EPEW), staff will confirm that you are on the list, and you may

There is a fee for Virtual EPEW and you must register through the website (Virtual Registration tab) to receive access to the sessions. The date for release of the sessions will be announced and you will have 2 weeks to view the sessions. You will receive an email on the day of release with the link. An attendance certificate will be provided to be filled out and you can also earn 1 CEU from Cal Poly Pomona. Number of presenters will vary each year.
